For fruit juices applications, which membranes should be used?

FPA10 – MEMBRANES with 100 kDa MWCO are suitable for apple and other light juices, depending on the process requirements.

FPA20 – MEMBRANES with 200 kDa MWCO are suitable for all light juices like apple, pear, peach, pineapple, banana, mango, melon, etc.

LPA450 – MEMBRANES with 450 kDa MWCO are the most suitable for pink juices like light grapes, pomegranate, strawberry, etc. and for multiple type of juices.

LMA02 – MEMBRANES with 0.2 µm nominal pore size are suitable for dark juices like black currant, chokeberry, blackberry, cherry, carrot, beetroot, etc.

How to clean membranes?

The cleaning procedure depends on your application. Please get in contact with our experts.

Is it possible to conduct pilot tests?

Yes, we can help you by renting one of our pilot units, and if required, PCI’s technical team can support your operating personnel on-site or remotely. You can also send us your sample to be tested and we will perform the trial for you in our facilities.

Our pilot units may be used to process a wide variety of aqueous solutions using a wide range of Microfiltration (MF), Ultrafiltration (UF), Nanofiltration (NF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes to suit the required application. All data collected during the trial are analysed by PCI’s technical team prior to giving recommendation for the next stage, based on further trials or design of a full-scale plant.

Is it possible to replace existing membranes and modules?

Yes, PCI Membranes’ products can be used to replace many existing membrane and modules. Please contact our experts, who will guide you in finding the most suitable solution to your needs.
